Some Nana & Pop Time

We were so happy to get some quality Nana & Pop time during our visit.  They were over to visit us in Malaysia right after Cooper was born and then we saw them again last Christmas, but it had been an entire year since we'd last seen them....and that was too long!!!  We do Skype with them once a week, but that just isn't the same!  In any case, the boys really enjoyed their time in Oklahoma... even though it seemed like they were at their worst behavior while we were there.  I'm not sure if it was being away from home and our daily routine and they were ready to get back to that after being away for nearly a month or if they are both just at that age where they just LOVE to test limits and boundaries...because they were doing a very good job of it! Cooper turned into a total bink baby - wanting his binkie throughout the day....or else screaming and whining throughout the day - even though he hasn't used a bink other than at naptime or bedtime for over a year now!  Let it be known though, that THAT came to an end as soon as we got off the last flight!  He soon learned we were back home and he could scream as loud as he wanted and as long as he wanted, but he wasn't getting it!!  Funny enough, it took one time and he never asked for it during the day again.  Now, we just need to work on him getting rid of it entirely.  This may be a different story.

Sorry, I totally digressed, this wasn't meant to be about my misbehaving boys....it was suppose to be about all the fun we had with Nana & Pop.....and that we did!  We made a few trips to the mall to ride the train - the boys absolutely loved it - and play in the play area.  We went to Pop's bank to visit him one day.  We went out and ate pancakes at IHOP one morning while Nana was at the dentist (although I would have thought the boys would have enjoyed the pancakes a bit more...they were all about the bacon instead....of course, I couldn't blame them - it was some darn good bacon...this coming from the "pork deprived" girl).  Since the weather was so cold, it was hard to do things outside, but we did manage one day of riding bikes outside.  We made a couple of trips to Wal-Mart to pick up things we can't get here...my heaven! We ate and ate and ate everything we can't get here...we ate more Chet's chili dogs than I can even count.  Nana  colored, did puzzles and played treasure hunt with the boys.  Pop made s'mores with one night in the fireplace since it was too cold to do it outside.  It was just fun, fun, fun!! So thanks Nana & Pop for opening your house up to us for nearly 2 weeks, we had the best time!!
Playing fort in the box that Coop's present came in
Making s'mores...I love how Cooper just decided that watching the big boys was fun enough!  He did so well so wanting to do one of his own.  Of course, he LOVED eating them!  Evan (my non sweet tooth) had a couple of bites and Cooper wanted his and the rest of Evan's!
They decided they didn't need Mom to ride along with them this time - they were big boys!
Trying at a family picture
Cooper encouraging Evan as he did a great job at peddling the big wheel bike all by himself! Go E!
On a treasure hunt with Nana looking for treasures for a treasure box of Nana's that he found
Cooper wasn't sure what he was looking for, but it sure did look fun and he knew his big brother was having a great time at it!
Trying out the new camera..
Let's see how it captures moving "objects"
And sweet Sadie....the boys also loved on Sadie quite a bit!  Since she is a bit older, she liked to keep to herself so the boys only bothered her when she was laying on the couch or it was ready for treat time....they LOVED to give her treats!
Evan doing one of his puzzles...Mommy trying out her new camera again....and yes, that is my Corona in the background...puzzle making is a strenuous activity!
Singing songs with E the night before we head out!
Pop and Evan feeding Sadie her treats!
Nana and the boys on a merry-go-round at the Tulsa mall, where we were trying to kill a bit of time before checking into the airport hotel (read the next post for this interesting story!!)

Thanks again Nana and Pop for the great visit, we hope we see you again soon....let's definitely not make it as long as we did the last time :-)
